There will be a special dawn service held within the ruins of the old church in Ballyeaston village on Easter Sunday morning. This will be conducted by the Rev. Jonny Campbell-Smyth, the new Rector in the United Parish of Ballynure and Ballyeaston (Ballyclare). Parking is available in the village car park at the bottom of the hill on the Ballyeaston Road from where it's a short walk up to the ruins. It will be a wonderful way to start Easter Day.
Look out for the tablet, shown below, which has been built into the back wall of the car park. It's a few metres from the site of the original St Augustine's well that was used as a source of water for the village.
