This week's walk will be in Antrim and will be following the Mill Race Trail along the banks of the Six Mile Water. Meet at The Square car park in Ballyclare at 6:00pm leaving at 6:10pm. Alternatively meet at the gates of All Saint's Parish Church in Antrim town centre at 6:30pm ready to leave by 6:40pm. There is on-street parking in the area. The avenue beside the church is Riverside and as the name suggests leads down to the Six Mile Water. Walk down Riverside and after about 300m the street veers right but the path to take is to the left. There are signs for the walk at this point. Follow this trail along the banks of the river, crossing it three times before emerging onto the Oldstone Road at Muckamore (it is approximately 1.6 miles to this point). Note there is open water at a number of points along the pathway, especially near the Oldstone Road end. Either retrace your steps back the way you came or turn left and follow the main roads back into Antrim via either the Belmont Road (2 miles) or the Belfast Road (1.6 miles).
Note that Iris McCormick will be co-ordinating this walk.
