The Queen's Platinum Jubilee - Service of Celebration and Parish Picnic

There will be a special service held this morning to celebrate the longest reign of any British monarch. Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, acceded the throne on the 6th February, 1952 on the death of her father, King George VI. Her coronation was held on 2nd June, 1953 and so 2nd June, 2022 was adopted as the first day of a long weekend of celebrations to recognise her long and dedicated period of public service to our nation.

Following the special service a parish picnic will be held in the grounds of the church.

All parishioners and their families are invited to stay after the service when tea and coffee will be provided. Please bring your own picnic, cups and deck chairs/picnic rug. In the event of bad weather the picnic will be moved into the Parish Hall.
