Rector's Church Warden Clarence Gibson has entered the Dervock Half Marathon and is looking for sponsorship with all monies raised going to church funds.  Clarence has participated in a number of similar events in the past and this year he will be competing in a field of around 300 runners.

Dervock is the birthplace of Kennedy Kane McArthur, Marathon gold medal winner at the Stockholm 1912 Olympic Games. The Dervock Half Marathon is organised by Springwell Running Club and Dervock & District Community Association.
