The newly-formed rambling group will be going on its first outing to Whitehead on Wednesday, 9th August.  From there it will walk along the coastal path to the Blackhead lighthouse and back.

Meeting place - The Square car park, Ballyclare

Meeting time - 6.00pm leaving the car park by 6.10pm, aiming to be in Whitehead ready to start walking at approximately 7.00pm.  Car-sharing suggested.  Alternatively meet in the sea-front car park in Whitehead.  The car park is located just off Chester Avenue/Old Castle Road and is the smaller one closest to the town.  It is accessed by turning right off the Old Castle Road.  Note that the suggested route in the WalkNI website (links below) starts at the yacht club.  Parking there is limited and is mainly for residents, hence the use of the alternative car park a short distance away.
